Caller Identification Policy
Some services offered by Republic Wireless, Inc. (“Republic Wireless”), allow community members to decide how a community member’s name, mobile phone number, or other personal information (“Caller Identification”) appear on a receiving device.
We do not review or pre-approve Caller Identification that you utilize with these services. To utilize these services, you represent and warrant to us that the Caller Identification you provide: (i) is accurate, (ii) is not intended to impersonate, misinform, mislead or offend others, and (iii) does not infringe or violate anyone’s rights or violate any laws, rules or regulations governing intellectual property, privacy, or other matters. Please do not use a celebrity’s name on your Caller Identification; of course, if you are a celebrity, please feel free to contact us – we always appreciate unpaid celebrity endorsements.
We understand that you also may be able to download applications offered by unaffiliated third parties that manipulate or “spoof” Caller Identification that appears on a receiving device. We do not review or pre-approve any third party applications. You should review the terms and conditions of any third party before using these services.
We may, in our sole discretion, refuse to pass or to remove any Caller Identification and investigate reports of misuse, abuse or other violations. We may limit, suspend or terminate your service for cause due to any violations of our Caller Identification Policy. Violations of our Caller Identification Policy also may result in violations of our Acceptable Use Policy, which you can review at republicwireless.com/legal.html. Any violation of our Caller Identification Policy or our Acceptable Use Policy also may subject you to civil and criminal penalties.
